Master Creative > IB Dunia & Classcipe Collaboration 

 
The IB Dunia Conference was a great success that attracted over 1200 educators from countries across the globe!
 
Held online on November 12th, 2022, the IB Dunia Conference was open to IB educators and included a mix of keynote & plenary sessions and a choice of over 50 workshops, designed to educate, inform and provide educators with an opportunity to connect, collaborate, network, learn and share with each other. 
 
The day kicked-off with the keynote session by Ms. Avalokita Nanda, DP / CP / MYP Authorization Manager, Asia Pacific, who spoke about 'Changing Course, Transforming Education.' The Conference included a wide variety of session formats and learning experiences led by experts in the topic with intended takeaways for the participants, plus plenty of scheduled time for formal and informal networking. 
 
In the IB Dunia Teachers' Conference, educators networked and shared best practices with one another. The conference was facilitated by experienced coordinators, workshop leaders, school heads, IB Practitioners and educators. 
 
With over 1200+ attendees present from different countries, it was wonderful to see so many familiar faces, and to connect with some school leaders and educators for the first time. 
 
All workshop attendees received a joint Certificate of Participation from the IB Dunia Network & Classcipe which demonstrated their ongoing Professional Development in International Education. We are extremely proud to serve such an inspiring and passionate community!

Visible Learning by Ram P Pandey
The session focused on the practical step-by-step guidance for successfully implementing visible learning and visible teaching in the classrooms, including - lesson preparation, interpreting learning, and feedback during the lesson and post-lesson follow-up. 
 
Cultures of Thinking & ATL( Mathematics) by Purushothaman -J IB Math Teacher
The session focused on various teaching & learning strategies to teach mathematical concepts by creating cultures of thinking with ATL skills. Teachers engaged the learners in the MYP and DP classroom to develop skills to connect the concepts with big ideas.
 
Link CAS to Indonesian A and Indonesian B Subjects by Edy Nugraha and Resa Maradhona
The session focused on how CAS experiences can gain more understanding about Indonesian A and B subjects and vice versa. 
 
Positive Behaviour Management by Kieran Pascoe (DPC) 
Useful and positive strategies to deal with Five Tricky Personalities that teachers have to deal with across all ages - The Chatterbox, The Clinger, The Debater, The Boycotter and The Sulker. The session provided tools for teachers to manage behaviour in a positive way. 
 
Librarian & the role in the three IB Pathways : To support Inquiry-Led Learning by Any Fauzianie
Librarians who join in any pathways in IB have valued advantages and strength. The session focused on do's and don'ts, the special skills we need to have to support each pathway. Even if one is a single librarian in their school, it was discussed how to successfully support classes on a daily basis.
 
Concept-Based Curriculum and Instruction (CBCI) by Trevor Jones
CBCI is all about developing the students ability to think well. The workshop aimed to explore some of the tenets of concept-based teaching and learning. Participants left with an understanding of the contrasts between traditional models, which can be more surface level, to that of CBCI which has a stronger emphasis on concepts, generalizations, and knowledge transfer.
 
Picture Books in Building Young Learner's Social Context Literacy by Stella Monica ( Head of Library) & Maria Imaculata Addelin ( PYPC Tunas Muda Meruya)
Picture books are chosen as they expose the social condition and context from different cultural perspectives. The main question that was discussed in the session was to what extent picture books could build young learners' social context literacy.
